How to Get a High-End Bathroom Renovation on a Budget

A glam and luxe bathroom renovation is not so out-of-reach with a tight budget. At Novalé, we pride ourselves on producing high-quality modern bathroom designs with flawless finishes, no matter your budget preference. We take pride in our high-end bathroom renovations with flexible pricing arrangements catering to the budget needs of our clients.

Novalé offers pricing models that can be made more affordable or extravagant depending on the clients’ needs, but either way, the pricing does not sacrifice our overall quality.

While first and foremost, we provide a fixed renovation quote, so you can remain assured no hidden costs will pop up. Each renovation is still a bespoke design that is customised to suit the specific measurements of your space. So, homeowners should note that the cost of a bathroom renovation depends on many considerations; some include:

The size and ideal layout of the bathroom. The scope of the building works, which refers to the hiring hours of tradespeople, who run the plumbing, draining, tiling, electrical, gas fitting and all other renovation services required. The fittings and fixtures selected, refers to the number of old items being replaced in the bathroom, such as sinks, tapware, cabinetry styles, finishes, tiles, paint colours, lighting and much more. The dwelling type of your home. Is it full brick or fibro? Is it a single or double-storey or an apartment? What is the access to the bathroom like etc.?

Bathroom renovations are one of the most effective ways to increase your property’s value, which is why we aim to make everyone’s dream bathroom possible by offering ‘Standard’ and ‘Superior’ pricing ranges, to satisfy a range of budgets and aesthetics.

Standard Modern Bathroom Design Tips

If you’re looking to spend between $17,000 and $25,000 to transform your tired, old bathroom into a gorgeous and functional space, then your project will fall into Novalé’s ‘Standard’ pricing range. Although every modern bathroom design comes in various costs and sizes, so get in touch with Novalé today for a quotation tailored to your bathroom renovation ideas and desires.

Bathroom renovation designs with a smaller budget are all about creating luxury through little touches; this can be achieved by investing in one or two more expensive hero pieces.

When choosing to spend your budget, functional options which suit your family’s needs should be prioritised. For example, invest in a statement vanity with lots of smart storage for a big family, or invest in double sinks for a master ensuite. The planning stage of a bathroom renovation idea is fundamental to avoid over or under spending down the track.

It is crucial for a quality and affordable bathroom renovation idea to consider what can stay before undertaking the renovation. A considerable amount of a budget can be saved if quality bathroom items are kept, allowing for more flexibility to replace and update other elements. Notably, the existing placement of plumbing and electrical structures should be kept the same to give the homeowners more flexibility to afford more expensive fixtures, accessories and tapware.

Superior Modern Bathroom Design Tips

Novalé’s ‘Superior’ pricing range caters to those that desire a greater sense of opulence in their bathroom, and are able to spend between $25,000 and $35,000. However, every modern bathroom design is bespoke, so get in touch with a Novalé Customer Service Consultant today. Get a detailed quotation for your dream bathroom renovation idea and ensure you fully understand all aspects of the quote and the bathroom renovation process.

In more detailed bathroom renovations, there is more shopping required. Your selections can be more efficient if you choose a basin first and then coordinate appropriate tapware and accessories to match, everything from the showerhead to the towel rack. Selecting products from the same brand will also make your bathroom renovation easier, as the styles and colours will match up exactly, and all products will have the same warranties. So, if something goes wrong, the solution is more straightforward when dealing with one company.

Novalé aims to make everyone’s bathroom dream possible, which is why we offer a ‘Standard’ and ‘Superior’ pricing range, to satisfy a range of budgets. 10 Trendiest Bathroom Styles According To Pinterest

Bathrooms are amongst the most popular rooms that we like to refurbish.

And 78% of us Brits are willing to spend up to £30,000 more for a home with a newly decorated bathroom.

So, to help those of you that want to splash the cash on a new bathroom suite, we trawled Pinterest to find the most stylish bathrooms trends.

We looked at the UK’s most recent and favourite bathroom trends and counted the number of Pinterest boards for each of them.

These are the Top 10 Trendiest Bathroom Styles according to Pinterest.

The Top 10 Pinterest Bathroom Trends

In order of popularity, the Top 10 Pinterest Bathroom trends are as follows –

Contemporary bathrooms – 1,022 boardsVictorian bathrooms – 1,021 boardsIndustrial bathrooms – 1,020 boardsTraditional bathrooms – 1,013 boardsModern bathrooms – 1,007 boardsFarmhouse bathrooms – 1,000 boardsTransitional bathrooms – 995 boardsRustic bathrooms – 992 boardsMediterranean bathrooms – 793 boardsBeach style bathrooms – 532 boards

Let’s take a little look at each of those styles in more detail…

1 – Contemporary Bathrooms (1,022 boards)

In first place is contemporary bathrooms with 1,022 Pinterest boards.

Contemporary style bathrooms will always be popular, with their ability to create such a clean and simple spacious environment.

Focus on creating sleek lines when choosing showers, baths, and fixtures – opting for square and rectangular styles where possible.

Remember to stick to simple colours too, taking darker and lighter tones to accent different features within the bathroom to bring that desired modern feel.

2 – Victorian Bathrooms (1,021 boards)

A roll top bath in a Victorian bathroom space

Next up is Victorian bathrooms with 1,021 Pinterest boards, a similar style to traditional bathrooms in 4th place

The complete opposite to contemporary, getting the Victorian style right is about choosing statement traditional features and putting details into the décor.

A free-standing roll top bath is probably the most popular feature of a Victorian style bathroom.

Choosing one with brass, silver or gold feet and then matching with handles, mirrors and lighting fixtures can really tie the whole thing together.

Using encaustic tiles will finish off the look by bringing some decadence to the room.

3 – Industrial Bathrooms (1,020 boards)

An industrial styled bathroom wash space

Industrial bathrooms are the third most popular style with 1,020 boards.

When creating an industrial style bathroom, it is all about bringing together raw and tough materials.

Brick and steel are a great place to start, and you can use warm lighting to soften the look a little too.

Grid shower enclosures are a simple way of introducing the industrial look to your bathroom, opt for matt black fittings for a complete striking finish.

4 -Traditional Bathrooms (1,013 boards)

Traditional style bathroom space

Similar to the Victorian style, traditional bathrooms exude a feeling of a bygone era.

Pair striking chrome fixtures with extravagant details and a deep freestanding bathtub to really enhance the feeling of decadence.

Explore brassware ranges to find a colour and a style that you love and use wood panels and dramatic black and white flooring to complete the look.

5 – Modern Bathrooms (1,007 boards)

A modern bathroom space

Modern can mean different things to different people, but it usually means a more monochrome look with geometric shapes and patterns.

The perfect modern bathroom space combines neutral colour schemes with more natural finishes.

It should be neat and tidy – and, of course, modern – but not cold and clinical.

6 – Farmhouse Bathrooms (1,000 boards)

a farmhouse style bathroom

Farmhouse bathrooms are synonymous with the cottagecore bathroom trend that we have seen all over social media in 2021.

Combining period features and timeless furniture with vintage finds will help you create this cute and cosy look.

7 – Transitional Bathrooms (995 boards)

Transitional bathroom space

Transitional bathrooms can be defined as having “borrowed” styles and ideas from a range of design eras.

Pure white porcelain is often commonplace in this design scheme, but being brave with colours can enhance the look too.

Finish in gold brassware and pair with cast iron towel rails and statement flooring designs to really make a space pop.

8 – Rustic Bathrooms (992 boards)

a rustic bathroom space

A rustic bathroom space should be warm, welcoming and entirely unpretentious.

Fusing more traditional elements with chic and contemporary styling, a rustic bathroom should have a charm and elegance all of its own.

Using raw and organic elements, handmade and artisan styles feature heavily in a neo-rustic bathroom, and look amazing when used well.

9 – Mediterranean Bathrooms (793 boards)

A mediterranean bathroom style.

Although not at the top of the popularity list, we have seen an increase in interest in this trend over the past year.

With people not being able to jet off on holiday as easily, Brits have been wanting to bring these calming and dreamy styles into their homes in the UK.

For a Mediterranean bathroom, use warm colours such as terracotta and carmine and include earthy tones wherever possible.

If designing your own Mediterranean bathroom, it’s important to consider how each element works with the other, especially when borrowing designs from different areas of the region.

10 – Beach-Style Bathrooms (532 boards)

beach-stylew bathroom moodboard

For a beach style bathroom use coastal inspired colours such as white and blue and bring in natural materials such as driftwood and shells for ornamentation.

To take this style one step further, look at introducing bright pastel shades and shell tiles to enhance the look and finish with matt black brassware for added drama.

Bathroom Trends For 2022 – What to Watch Out For

>As the Autumn months draw in and look to 2022, we take a peek at the exciting bathroom trends emerging in the new year and what you should look out for.

Japandi Bathrooms Trend

There’s a new trend on its way, Japandi – and it’s got some serious staying power. Japandi is an interior hybrid that blends Japanese and Scandinavian styles.

Influenced by the ancient Japanese idea of wasbi-sabi, an aesthetic that appreciates beauty is ‘imperfect, impermanent and incomplete’, Japandi also inherits the comfort and cosiness of Nordic interior design. Together, forming a gorgeous, simplistic bathroom interior style we can’t get enough of.

This new interior fusion creates the perfect combination of form and function, focusing on neutral hues, bright spaces, and plenty of texture.

To achieve the most perfect Japandi space we recommend 5 features:

50 Shades of Green

Expect to see a lot more of green hues in 2022. Pastels, tinted shades, emerald, green, sage greens and more. Green is a brilliant way to refresh a bathroom without overpowering, additionally it’s really nice hue to introduce that can encourage positive wellbeing. Bringing you back to nature with pops of colour.

We love the versatility of this colour, a wonderful fit for modern and traditional bathrooms alike. So, whether you’re looking to totally revamp, a subway tile splash back or adding a new lick of paint, here’s some inspiration that will make you love every shade of green.

Introduce Terracotta to Your Bathroom

Terracotta bathroom tiles

Terracotta is one of the up-and-coming shades for bathrooms in 2022. The earthy hues are coming through, highlighting our newfound love for positive wellbeing interiors.

Since the 2020 pandemic, there has been a huge increase of people remote working and for many, this will be a permanent arrangement. Meaning, now more than ever, our homes should be light, calming, and a positive place for us to exist.

Whichever way you choose to introduce terracotta, from wall paint to tile options to towels or bathmats, feel free to discover deep burnt orange hues to soft apricot shades until you find your ideal terracotta shade.

When introducing terracotta into your 2022 bathroom think about how you want your bathroom to feel. You can create a luxury Spanish villa vibe, traditional Moroccan theme, or rustic rural elements with this beautiful colour.

Soho London Bathrooms

Another big trend to watch out for as we head towards 2022 is SOHO London designs. The best way to describe this beautiful interior is cosy luxury. If that doesn’t quite sum it up, think artsy, bohemian, urban elegance with an edgy flair – sounds divine, we know!

So, what would a SOHO bathroom look like?

To achieve the soho look in your bathroom you need to throw out any ideas of the clean, clinical look when shopping for tiles, paint, or wall design. Think patterned prints that will add extra style to your bathroom space. From geometric to striped or even Turkish cement tiles for a truly bespoke look.

Soho décor adopts a masculine colour palette with a focus on rich tones. There’s no place for minimalism here. The more dramatic, the better. You want your decorative elements to be emotive, passionate with an element of comfort.

If you’re still unsure, we have some Soho London Bathroom design inspiration to die for.
